Per me va benissimo.

sms: “Hi Corso. Welcome back. Did you go over the script? Can you stop by the
office tomorrow to talk about Guatemala?”
sms di Corso: “Yes. How is 12 o’clock?”
For me it’s perfect. I suddenly realize how foolish I am : Corso has just returned from
filming in Slovakia where things were not easy. We know about the thousand and one
problems, both big and small. Regardless, he has found time to reread the script for the
next episode of Veronica. Having travelled all night, he arrives at Fiumicino by dawn.
sms: “If you would like to rest we can meet a little later”
sms di Corso: “See you at 12 o’clock”.
Corso was not just a “hard worker”. Corso loved what he did and didn’t want to stop
doing it. I was fortunate enough to get to know him in so many different ways: First as a
“connoisseur”, as he liked to ironically define those who loved his work, then as an actor,
as he played the role of the son in the film Mar Nero by Federico Bondi, but most of all,
together with Francesco Pamphili and my colleagues at Film Kairos, I spent these last
nine months by his side, working on a long feature of episodes which talks about the
workplace accidents of Enel workers. At 12 o’clock that Friday I meet up with Corso. He
tells me about all the problems they had while filming. He is disappointed: he is afraid
the quality of the material will suffer because of this, and he is not satisfied. I try and find
some humor in all of this and tell him that as soon as he finishes this film, we shall make
one together and call it “The worst of the two”.
We talk about our next trip to Guatemala, he cannot wait: he feels it will be the best
part of the film. There is not a trace of fatigue on his face and his eyes are as bright and
luminous as ever.

We watch the episode filmed in Slovakia for the first time, edited by Davide, with the
great contribution of Valeria, but without Corso, who has left us.
I fiddle around with my cell phone , I don’t know what to do…
Sms: “Where are the flaws you had talked about? even Slovakia is so beautiful”
